Views Sought on Naming of Sludge Treatment Facility The Environmental Protection Department initiates to name the “ Sludge Treatment Facility”. We wish the new name can cast off the negative stereotype related to sludge and waste treatment facilities, as well as to boost up environmental awareness of the community and the concept of waste-to-energy. The following three naming concepts are under consideration: Concept (1): Waste-to-Energy, Energy Regeneration The naming emphasizes the concept of waste-to-energy and energy regeneration of the facility. Concept (2): Natural Environment, Architectural Appearance The naming emphasizes the coherence of the architectural appearance with the surrounding environment. Concept (3): Environmental Awareness, Community Education The naming emphasizes the unity comprising the mission and vision of the sludge treatment facility, the community promotion and the environmental education. In order to draw on collective wisdom and bring innovative, positive, modern and international image to the Sludge Treatment Facility, you are cordially invited to offer your naming suggestions (in Chinese and English) and comments.
